The life and times of one hobo as he travels and trials around the world spreading strength with a positive message of hope

Top 5 themes you forgot were on Canadian Tv

5) The Goosebumps Theme.

Not only was this a catchy song that came out for the show that ran from 1995 to 1998 on Canadian TV via YTV but this wonderful theme song was created by Canadian Jack Lenz who in his own right would also perform the music for other television shows like Robocop the series, Sue Thomas F.B. Eye and Due South (which in its self is another fantastic piece of Canadian TV if you haven’t watched it I highly recommend it.) But he also worked on the film The Passion of the Christ. Jack definitely makes us Canadians proud.

4) Not A Lot Going On (Corner Gas theme)

When Craig Northey & Jessie Valenzuela co-wrote this adorable little theme song I’m pretty sure they didn’t think it would be such a Phenomenal hit that most Canadians would continue to love even after the series wrapped up after six wonderful seasons (from 2004 to 2009). *A little-known fact a lot of people don’t know is that Craig  Northey also created former wrestler Brett “the hitman” Hart’s WCW theme in 1997!!!

3) The theme To Street Legal

This was a tough one because during its initial run, this legal drama TV program went through 4 theme songs in its 8 year run from 1987 to 1994 and reprised in 2019 for a final ninth season. The first two seasons definitely had a catchy little jazz number written and performed by Canadian David Wilcox. Season three’s theme was written and composed by Scottish-born composer Eric Robertson. The theme for season four through the end of the show was written and performed by Canadians Micky Erbe & Maribeth Solomon. (personally, this was my favorite from the series) *A little-known fact Maribeth Solomon also created the music for another hit Canadian TV show Shitt$ Creek.

2) Something Precious the theme of Neon Rider

This rock theme was written by Canadian Terry Frewer and performed by Candian Bill Henderson respectfully. The show ran for four seasons from 1990 to 1995. Headlined by acting powerhouse Winston Rekert (who also co-created the show) it also stared Peter Williams (who fans would know more famously from Stargate SG-1 as Apophis) and Barbra Tyson (who Famously played the first ever HIV-positive character Dawn “Ivy” Rollo on daytime soap opera Another World.)

1)Run With Us the ending theme of The Raccoons

Come on you had to know this was going to be number one. The beginning of this animated classic had some very 1980s vibe to go with it expressly through the Ending theme affectionately known as Run With Us. Written by Kevin Gillis, Jon Stroll, and Steve Lunt and originally performed by Steve Lunt for the show’s first season was replaced by vocalist Lisa Lougheed for the remainder of the show’s run of five fun-filled seasons. The song also got a reintroduction in 2011 as the ending theme for the Hollywood action/comedy film Hobo With A Shotgun as well as an amazing cover version done by The Cybertronic Spree in 2015! * little known fact Lisa Lougheed also voiced the character Lisa Raccoon in the final season of the show.
